My new martingale came today. It has all kinds of crowns on it, cuz my foster mom sais I'm a lil princess! As you can see, I was soooooo excited I wanted to take myself for a walk! DD

To my spay! I loved looking out the car window, when my foster mom pulled into Grassmere I tried to get up in the front seat to help her park. My surgery went ok and I will be back in Franklin tomorrow. Dawn.

First Steps in Franklin

I'm here! I made it to my new foster home in Franklin.


My new foster folks decided since everything is so new for me, it would be safe to be on crate rest for a while, as you can see I do not mind.

Good morning everyone. Well tomorrow is the day. Nina has been telling me that someone is already interested in me. After Aaron gets married they are hoping to get a greyhound. I think I could be the one for them. I know I have a few more weeks of re-hab and then I have to see Dr. Pearce in one month. I'm going to keep my paws crossed and work really hard with Anne Maire, so I'll be ready for them. If it doesn't work out Nina and Bob have been telling me that I will not have a difficult time finding my forever home 'cause I'm so sweet..... Not a problem at all. I can meet and greet real nice like. They say I am pretty calm for a little two year old. (Well, most of the time! Hee! Hee!)

Just being a good girl

Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday as I said I would. I am really doing well with Nina and Bob. Evan, Debutante, and Barney are my new friends. We have settled into a rountine around here and I'm adjusting. Retirement is wonderful! Nina can't get any photos to attach tonight, but I do want everyone to know that I can roach in perfect form! We'll be going to Franklin Sunday and I am sooooo looking forward to being in my foster home. That gets me one step closer to my forever home.

I've been picked up!

YEA!!! Nina found me up front with Dr. Pearce's staff this afternoon, all laid out on a bed. Caycee had given me a bath earlier and I was just chilling out waiting for dinner to be served. I tell you the service here has really been 5-Star! I was served my meal and then enjoyed some physical therapy. I believe Brett said it was "range-of-motion exercises." Anyway, he showed Nina how to do it. After the discharge instructions, photos, and good-byes we were on our way. You can see from the photos that I am not stressed at all...... We got to her house and I did my business on leash just like always and then settled down on a doggie bed. I was growling just a little at Evan, Deb, and Barney, so Nina put my muzzle on, but I'm really OK with them. We'll post tomorrow so you will know how my first night went........ So much excitment has made me sleeeeepy.....

My Plan "B"

Hi Folks,
Well, I'm still at Dr. Pearce's. The plan was for me to be discharged Saturday, spend the night at Nina and Bob's, and then Nina was going to take me to my foster Mom, Anne Marie in Franklin Sunday but..... I am now on "Plan B" because we had some really nasty weather in Memphis Friday night and Saturday! (I think all my soon-to-be-friends in Nashville are dealing with that same weather today. Sure hope everyone is safe and stays dry.) The staff told me that Nina had talked with Liz and Anne Marie and everyone decided that we should all just stay put where we were, sooooo..... Nina is now going to get me Monday afternoon and I'll spend the week at her house. Not quite sure if we'll get to Franklin Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but I promise to let everyone know and we'll take some pictures. I'm almost there..... just a few more days.
